We just finished an order of wedding invitations here at Van-Mar and we think they are simple and sweet! Although many are cutting down the wedding planning costs and resorting to the internet and e-invitations it’s just not the same as getting a physical invitation in the mail.

Try some great simple methods to pretty your invitations up! Here is a list of some simple things you can do to add a little UMPH to your invitations!

• Stamping – add a little design that makes every single one unique
• Embossing – hit your local crafts store and pick up an embossing tool or machine. Embossing makes the invitation classically classy.
• Bedazzle it – whether you add jems or perls to the invitation it screams “attention to detail” & “handcrafted”
• Add a Ribbon – we love ribbons! Either punch some wholes and bind sheets together, or establish a closure with a ribbon.
• Seal it with a kiss – Back in the day a dab of wax and a family seal would have done the trick, now-a-days get the same classic feel with a sticker!

Balloon Tank from Costco

You can get it at your local Costco for approx. $20.00! It blows up approx. 50 balloons. The only thing that is not included are the balloons themselves, which at first I thought didn’t make sense but it makes perfect sense as how do they know what colour or type of balloons you want blown up? I think this is a great product for small parties or events that require approx. 50 balloons for décor.

First things to do when designing a wrapper is to buy one chocolate bar (the kind you are intending to give-a-way) carefully unwrap the bar and take measurements, while doing this ensure you know where the folds are in the original wrapper.

Once you have the measurements you can design your wrapper.

Printing it at home can save you money, or you can go to the local print shop and have them print it on a laser printer for better quality print. You don’t need a very think stock you can use your normal printing paper.

Once they are printed, you can then unwrap all the chocolate bars that you bought and start re-wrapping them with your personalized wrappers. To stick the wrappers on, I recommend a glue dispenser (basically looks like a whiteout tape dispenser, and works like it as well, the only difference is that it dispenses a line of glue – It’s GREAT!)
